Description

This activity is for IAMMETER users who already monitor their solar inverter data in Home Assistant and would like to try uploading that data to IAMMETER-Cloud through IAMMETER-Link. The goal is to explore a practical way to combine grid data from an IAMMETER meter with inverter generation data from Home Assistant in one IAMMETER-Cloud account. If you already have an IAMMETER meter installed on the grid side, and your inverter data is available in Home Assistant, you may use IAMMETER-Link and Virtual Meter to upload the inverter data to IAMMETER-Cloud. We welcome participants to share a simple online tutorial about their setup, so other users with similar inverters can refer to it. For each inverter brand/model, the first approved public tutorial can also receive 6,000 Reward Points.

Requirement

This activity is mainly suitable for users who meet the following conditions: 1. You are already an IAMMETER user. 2. You have an IAMMETER meter installed on the grid side. 3. You have a solar inverter. 4. You are familiar with Home Assistant. 5. Your inverter data is already available in Home Assistant, or you are able to integrate it into Home Assistant. 6. You are willing to try IAMMETER-Link to upload inverter data from Home Assistant to IAMMETER-Cloud through Virtual Meter. 7. You are willing to publish a simple tutorial online and share the link with IAMMETER. The tutorial does not need to be complicated. It would be helpful if it includes: 1. The inverter brand and model. 2. How the inverter data is read into Home Assistant. 3. The Home Assistant sensor entities used, such as inverter power and energy. 4. How IAMMETER-Link is configured. 5. How the inverter data is uploaded to IAMMETER-Cloud through Virtual Meter. 6. A screenshot or explanation showing the final result in IAMMETER-Cloud, especially how grid data and inverter data are displayed together. Reward details: 1. Approved participants can receive 3 years of IAMMETER-Cloud Pro service for the Virtual Meter used in this integration. 2. For each inverter brand/model, the first approved public tutorial can receive 6,000 Reward Points. 3. The tutorial should be original and publicly accessible. 4. IAMMETER will review submitted tutorials before issuing rewards.
