We are collecting real-world examples of integrating IAMMETER energy meters through the new read-only SunSpec Modbus/TCP interface. Show how you use IAMMETER with an energy management system (EMS), automation platform, inverter installation, gateway or custom application. Successful integrations, partial results and reproducible problem reports are all welcome. The goal is to build practical community guides and identify interoperability issues. Systems with documented SunSpec support The following official resources confirm SunSpec functionality. Inclusion here does not mean compatibility with IAMMETER has already been verified. Clients and platforms to investigate: 1. SMA ennexOS System Managers: the documented SunSpec Modbus client profile includes energy-meter models 201–204 and 211–214. Test discovery and readings with your exact product and firmware; mandatory-point requirements and product restrictions may affect acceptance. https://manuals.sma.de/ennexOS/en-US/14259660939.html 2. OpenEMS: its official integration list includes a generic SunSpec energy-meter implementation. Share configuration, channel mapping, power direction and import/export energy results. https://openems.io/openems-ready/ 3. openHAB: its SunSpec extension provides discovery and single-phase, split-phase and three-phase meter types. Share working Modbus bridge and meter configuration. https://www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/modbus.sunspec/ 4. evcc: its SunSpec Meter template documents Modbus/TCP use for grid, solar-production and charger metering. Demonstrate meter readings in your charging installation. https://docs.evcc.io/en/meters/sunspec-meter/ 5. pySunSpec2: the SunSpec Alliance Python library supports Modbus/TCP device discovery and model reading. Share a minimal read-only script and sample output. https://github.com/sunspec/pysunspec2 Inverters and related equipment for shared monitoring: 6. Fronius: official documentation describes SunSpec interfaces for Datamanager 2.0 and GEN24/Tauro. A useful case is an EMS reading both a supported Fronius inverter and an IAMMETER meter. These documents do not establish that the inverter can directly read IAMMETER as its external meter. https://www.fronius.com/en-in/india/solar-energy/installers-partners/technical-data/all-products/system-monitoring/open-interfaces/modbus-rtu 7. SolarEdge: its official SunSpec logging note documents supported inverter access for third-party monitoring. Share an application reading inverter and IAMMETER data separately. Direct replacement of a SolarEdge-required meter is not an established capability. https://www.solaredge.com/sites/default/files/sunspec-implementation-technical-note.pdf Other EMS/BMS platforms, PLCs, gateways, storage systems and inverter controllers are also welcome. For direct meter integration, include evidence that the exact product can act as a SunSpec meter client. IAMMETER scope and test notes Firmware i.91.065.18 adds a read-only integer meter-model map on the existing Modbus/TCP service. WEM3080 maps to Model 201; WEM2067 to Model 202 for genuine split-phase wiring; and WEM3050T, WEM3080T, WEM3046T and WEM3063T to Model 203. Float models 211–214 are not provided. WEM3080TD Model 204 is not advertised as available, and WEM3046TE has no dedicated model-identification verification. This implementation is not SunSpec-certified and does not guarantee third-party compatibility. Reported physical-device validation covers WEM3080T; other models require further testing. The release guide distinguishes implementation tests from verification of the exact downloadable release file. Use the meter LAN IP, TCP port 502, Function Code 03 and zero-based SunSpec start address 40000. Energy is represented in Wh and power factor in percent. Handle unavailable fields and changing scale factors, and check NEM semantics before comparing total and per-phase energy. The release has a TCP framing limitation: split or combined requests can close the connection. Send one request and wait for the response, while recognizing that this does not eliminate every TCP segmentation risk. The meter map provides no write operations or inverter-control functions. ข้อกำหนด
1. Use real equipment to read data from an IAMMETER energy meter through SunSpec. Results obtained using a simulator are not eligible. 2. Provide detailed integration documentation and publish it on a public forum to receive 5,000–10,000 Reward Points, depending on the quality and completeness of the documentation, after IAMMETER review.
