IAMMETER Contributor Center User Manual

This manual introduces the main user-facing flows in IAMMETER Contributor Center, including login, contribution submission, RP tracking, affiliate usage, Customer Store checkout, and order tracking.

1. Overview

IAMMETER Contributor Center is open to all IAMMETER users.

You can use it to:

  • submit contributions that help IAMMETER grow
  • apply for and use affiliate links
  • view your RP (Reward Points) balance and history
  • use RP in the Customer Store
  • browse the IAMMETER App Store

Main user entry points:

2. Login and Account

2.1 Login Method

The system currently supports one login method:

  • Sign In with IAMMETER

That means:

  • you do not register a separate account inside Contributor Center
  • the system uses IAMMETER OAuth for login
  • after successful login, the system creates or refreshes your local session

2.2 Login Steps

  1. Open https://contributor.iammeter.com/login
  2. Click Sign In with IAMMETER
  3. Your browser will jump to the IAMMETER login page
  4. After successful login, it will return to Contributor Center
  5. A normal user will be redirected to https://contributor.iammeter.com/dashboard

2.3 What Happens If Your Account Is Disabled

If an administrator disables your account:

  • you will no longer be able to access protected pages
  • your existing session will stop working on later API requests
  • logging in again through OAuth will not create a new local session

3. Dashboard and RP

3.1 What RP Means

RP (Reward Points) is the reward balance used inside the system.

Current main uses:

  • recording rewards you have earned
  • covering part of the item price in the Customer Store

3.2 Where to View RP

You can view RP in https://contributor.iammeter.com/dashboard, including:

  • current RP balance
  • recent RP records
  • recent order summary
  • affiliate summary

You can also use https://contributor.iammeter.com/rp-history for a more complete RP history.

3.3 Main RP Sources

At the moment, RP mainly comes from:

  • approved contribution rewards
  • approved affiliate rewards
  • manual admin adjustments

3.4 RP Rules in the Store

Current rules:

  • RP can only cover item price
  • RP cannot cover shipping cost
  • software and hardware may use different RP deduction ratios
  • some variants can disable RP completely
  • some variants can override the default RP ratio

In https://contributor.iammeter.com/shop, if a product supports RP, you may see copy like:

  • You can pay up to 50% of the item price with RP

That means:

  • RP can cover up to 50% of the item price for that item
  • shipping still requires cash payment

4. Contribution

4.1 What a Contribution Is

A contribution is any record you submit to show how you helped IAMMETER.

Examples include:

  • tutorials, guides, and documentation
  • product feedback and testing notes
  • integration and technical content
  • user stories and experience sharing
  • promotion and community support
  • any other real action that helps IAMMETER grow

4.2 Where to View Contributions

Open:

You can see:

  • your submitted contributions
  • the status of each one

4.3 How to Submit a New Contribution

Open:

Fill in the form and submit it.

After submission, an administrator will review it.

4.4 What Happens After Review

After review, you will usually see:

  • a contribution status update
  • RP reward changes if the contribution is rewarded
  • an email notification

5. Affiliate

5.1 What Affiliate Means

Affiliate is one contribution path inside Contributor Center.

If your referral link helps IAMMETER generate valid orders, the system can generate affiliate rewards for you.

5.2 Where to Use Affiliate

Open:

You can see:

  • your affiliate profile status
  • your referral code
  • your referral link
  • affiliate reward summary
  • reward history

5.3 Basic Affiliate Flow

  1. Apply for affiliate access
  2. Wait for admin review
  3. After approval, get a referral code
  4. Share the referral link
  5. When a paid order is attributed to your link, the system creates a pending reward
  6. After admin approval, the reward is credited into RP

5.4 Core Affiliate Rules

There are three important rules:

  • any buyer using an affiliate link receives a 1% discount
  • when another user completes a purchase through your affiliate link, you receive RP equal to 10% of the cash-paid portion of that order
  • when you use your own affiliate link for your own purchase, you only receive the discount and do not receive affiliate RP reward

Affiliate reward is always calculated from the cash-paid portion only.

That means:

  • a pure RP order does not create affiliate reward
  • a mixed payment order rewards only the cash-paid part
  • a full cash order rewards the full cash-paid amount
