Customer Store Guide

This guide explains browsing, quoting, RP deduction, payment, order lookup, and shipping tracking in the Customer Store.

1. Who Can Use the Customer Store

Open:

You can also enter Customer Store from https://contributor.iammeter.com/dashboard.

3. Products and Variants

The real purchasable unit is the variant.

A product can have multiple variants, for example:

  • different models
  • different versions
  • different country sales scopes
  • different prices

So the real order item is always a specific variant.

4. Address and Country Restriction

Before ordering, it is recommended to create your address in https://contributor.iammeter.com/settings.

The country field is selected from a shared country list instead of free text.

This helps:

  • keep country matching consistent with admin sales-scope configuration
  • avoid mismatches such as US, USA, and United States

Some variants may be restricted by country:

  • all
  • allow_list
  • deny_list

If the current address country is not allowed for a variant, the page will show it as unavailable.

5. Shopping and Quote

In https://contributor.iammeter.com/shop, you can:

  1. browse products
  2. choose a variant
  3. add it to cart
  4. select an address
  5. open Review Order
  6. view the quote

The system calculates:

  • item subtotal
  • max RP deduction
  • shipping cost
  • final cash due

6. RP Deduction Rules

Current rules:

  • RP can only cover item price
  • RP cannot cover shipping cost
  • software and hardware may use different default RP ratios
  • some variants may disable RP
  • some variants may override their RP ratio

If the page shows:

  • You can pay up to 50% of the item price with RP

it means:

  • RP can cover up to 50% of that item’s price
  • shipping is excluded

7. Payment Methods

The current user-facing external payment channel is:

  • PayPal

An order may fall into one of these payment types:

  • rp_only
  • mixed
  • channel_only

Meaning:

  • rp_only: fully covered by RP, no PayPal required
  • mixed: partly covered by RP and partly by PayPal
  • channel_only: fully paid by PayPal

8. Order Status After Placement

Common order statuses:

  • pending_payment
  • paid
  • preparing
  • shipped
  • completed
  • rejected
  • canceled

Common payment statuses:

  • not_required
  • pending
  • paid
  • failed
  • refunded

9. Where to View Orders

Open:

You can view:

  • order number
  • item details
  • variant information
  • RP usage
  • cash paid
  • shipping cost
  • address snapshot
  • current status
  • tracking information

10. How to Track Shipping

If an order is already shipped, https://contributor.iammeter.com/orders can show:

  • tracking company
  • tracking number
  • tracking URL

Clicking the tracking link will open the carrier tracking page.

11. Common Questions

11.1 Why Do I Still Need to Pay When I Have RP

Common reasons:

  • RP cannot cover shipping
  • the current item allows only partial RP deduction
  • the item does not support RP
  • your RP balance is not enough

11.2 Why Some Items Cannot Be Clicked

Common reasons:

  • the current variant is out of stock
  • the current address country is not supported

11.3 Why Changing My Address Does Not Change Old Orders

Each order stores its own address snapshot at order time.

The address book is only a template source. Historical orders do not change when the template changes.
